This is my favorite game to play at the arcade. I didn’t realize how much I loved this game until I played it at the arcade a few years back. Definitely one of the true classics.

I could play this game for hours. Another game you can play on any new or d school console and also find in just about any arcade. Addictive classic gaming at its best.
Galaga
Talk about a game I could play for hours. Whether it is online competitive play on a newer game or quiet fun with the classic versions, Mario Kart is always a hit for me.
Mario Kart
I think this game has been forgotten by many, but it is still a really great game you can get lost in. Regardless of music knowledge or ability, Guitar Hero is always a great game to dust off and play.

Dig Dug is a really fun and u pique concept for a game. It’s so simple yet so addictive.

Bubble Bobble might not be a game you hear about often, but it is one you will not be able to put down once you start. Probably one of the most fun old school games of all time.

There are a few different versions of Punch Out that have been made, but none are better than Mike Tyson’s Punch Out. You beat him, you are the king of the world. One of the best sports games I’ve ever played to this day.
Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!
Although I love the original NES No ha Turtles game, the arcade game still wows me to this day. Very cool graphically and so much fun to play. One of the best arcade to console ports ever made in my opinion.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (arcade game)
Nothing gets me hooked more than trying to beat my high score on pole position. Primitive gameplay, but still extremely fun to play today.
Pole Position
I know not many people remember this game, but it made a big impression on me growing up in the 80’s. You can play it via the Nintendo Switch or find it for an Atari console. Another game that may look kinda stupid, but is actually a ton of fun.
Kangaroo
This game really stood out back in the 80’s. Graphically and gameplay wise this was an amazing game for its time. It’s still one of my old school favorites.
Choplifter
I recently rediscovered this game while at the arcade. It may not look or sound like fun, but it is every bit as addictive as it was when I was playing it back in the 80’s. One of my all time favorites.
Joust
Pong is the OG of video gaming. You’d think it wouldn’t hold up after 50 plus years, believe it or not this one is still a ton of fun to play regardless of whether you play against a person or the computer.

You can pretty much take your pick when it comes to Mario Bros. and you are sure to find something that will keep you engaged for hours. I actually love the original arcade version which you can find on the Nintendo Switch or on Atari consoles. Again...

This is another game that has several versions that are fun to play. However, my heart tends to be with the NES version. There is something about that version that makes me want to play it for hours. Perhaps it is nostalgia or perhaps it is just a gr...
Tetris
Donkey Kong is another series of games that are hard not love regardless of which one you play, but I favor the OG from the early 80’s. It’s still a ton of fun to play. However, several version of Donkey Kong Country are also very addictive too!
Donkey Kong
To be honest, all old school Sonic the Hedgehog games are great. Atleast until you leave the classic 90’s era. After that it is a little hit or miss. Sonic 2 and Sonic Spinball were always my favorites. I spent the most time on these growing up in th...
