Started here because it seemed obvious — just hook it over the top of the door. Took me three duds before I found ones that actually stayed put and didn't scratch the paint.

Having a storm door complicated everything because regular over-the-door hooks didn't fit. Spent a frustrating Saturday figuring this out so you won't have to.

Went down the adhesive route when I had a door that nothing else worked on — flat surface, no metal, no gap at the top. Some of these surprised me.

Got tired of seeing an ugly metal hook peeking over my door in every photo. Found a few that actually add to the look instead of ruining it.

Learned the hard way that my oversized magnolia wreath was too heavy for standard hooks when it crashed onto the porch at midnight. These actually handle the weight.

Wanted my wreath visible from inside too — standing in the living room staring at a bare door back felt like a waste. These let you show off from both sides.

Rather than buying one hanger and bending it to fit every season, I started matching hangers to holidays. Sounds extra, but it cut my decorating time in half.

The hanger is only half the battle. Figured out the hard way that a few small accessories prevent the wreath from swinging, sliding, or looking crooked.

Spent money on nice wreaths and hangers only to find them crushed in a garage box the next year. Started storing them properly and everything lasts twice as long now.
