Bamboo Beats

Bamboo Beats absolutely crushed it. DJ Techumsa and his wife Jojo were a joy to work with from start to finish — professional, organized, and genuinely fun humans. My partner and I have wildly different music tastes, and somehow they blended everything together perfectly. The pacing, the transitions, the vibe — it all just worked. As a very type-A person, their communication and organization gave me total peace of mind. We had zero stress going into the wedding day, which is truly invaluable. Once the music started, the energy never dipped. The dance floor was packed all night, our guests are still talking about it, and we honestly didn’t want the night to end. We are already looking for an excuse to throw another party just so we can have Bamboo Beats back spinning dope tracks. We are so grateful for the care, talent, and joy they brought to our celebration — they made the night unforgettable.

You might be thinking "I don't need to pay $5000 for a DJ!" and that's totally okay, if you're fine with one that doesn't mix anything, doesn't set up multiple spots in advance on your big day, doesn't have an elite communications team (shout out to Jojo!), or has a bad presence on the mic. If you're like me, you want the Bamboo Beats experience. Their level of expertise and professionalism is unmatched. And they delivered better than I could have ever expected. They played the Star Wars throne room song perfectly for my processional song for me and all the wedding party. My wife's processional song was perfect too. At every point they played our songs better than we could have dreamed of. Cocktail hour, dinner, wedding party entrances, first dances... And then the open dancing was phenomenal. I got so many compliments about our DJ. I wanted it to start off family-friendly: nailed. I wanted things to get nasty (i.e. not censored) later in the night: nailed. I wanted multiple blocks of millennial "emo songs": nailed. I wanted the final song to be "Don't Stop Believing", with a hard cut off like The Sopranos: nailed. That last one is a reference not many get and they executed it perfectly. And I gotta talk about Jojo too. She and Isaac are a beautiful team. While Isaac is absolutely throwing down on the decks, Jojo is your point lady the whole time to make sure things are going smoothly leading up to your wedding. I was feeling immense stress about not getting all of my songs locked down. She made me feel okay about the process and gave me suggestions about what could be done in certain spots. She deserves a lot of praise as well. She knows how to handle your stress and mitigate it with a calm and professional demeanor. Again, you might be paying more than you expected to, but you are getting a full-service experience from Bamboo Beats. If you want to have your guests talking about your music for years to come, then look no further. Quite simply, Bamboo met and exceeded my wildest expectations. Jojo and Isaac are an amazing team and they will take care of you from the day you hire them to the biggest day of your life!

Working with Bamboo Beats was a dream. Jojo and Isaac are a fantastic team, from our first inquiry, to creating the timeline and playlists, to our final meeting, their communication, professionalism, and excitement made working with them a joy. They made us feel so confident that our wedding day was going to be a blast. Our DJ Waylon (WD4D) was absolutely AMAZING. He completely understood the vibe we were going for. People were complimenting him and the music all night. Every part of the event was exactly perfect. He did an excellent job mixing the tracks or paying attention to the mood/timeline and fading out at the perfect times. On the dance floor, people had an absolute blast and were dancing all night. We've been to events with DJs who were not great so we know firsthand how important a good DJ is to make an event memorable! Another small (but huge to us) thing that we appreciated was the whole team made an effort to pronounce our names correctly, including our newly created last name which I think we’re the only people on Earth who have it, and also our wedding party’s names for the speeches. Will absolutely be recommending Bamboo Beats to everyone!

Bamboo Beats (Jojo and Isaac) was an amazing DJ team for our wedding and we couldn’t recommend them more! After our initial meetings with them, it was clear that they knew what they were doing and were very experienced. They had lots of suggestions about little details we probably never would have thought of if they hadn’t mentioned it!! The Vibo app for putting all of our music selections depending on the scene (cocktail hour, dinner, etc.) was AWESOME as a type-A person - it was such an easy process of adding in songs over the course of planning for 6+ months. The day of really felt smooth and they really knew all the cues. They did a great job of keeping the dance party going - overall we were very happy with our experience!!
