When my first child was born, I rediscovered my love of reading hardcore, being up all hours with a newborn. Started liking Kindle as well, and you should definitely all use your library's Libby app to get books there for free.

Everyone in the US should sign up for Libby with any/all library cards you have, if you use ebooks. This obviously makes me no money, and if you prefer to purchase and own your books, the rest of the list is for that!
Libby - Slow Horses
I know, it's already made into a (very good) TV show but these books are great. Funny, exciting, easy reads. Some shocking callous treatment of beloved main characters. Not predictable.
Slow Horses (Deluxe Edition) by Mick Herron, Paperback
Number two in the series. I consumed all extant Mick Herron once I caught the bug. Sharp, funny.
Clown Town (Signed Book) by Mick Herron, Hardcover
Another good global spy thriller. This is the start of its own series, and flashes back to late 80s, a teenager who gets recruited to help a spy agency.
BOX 88: A Novel by Charles Cumming, Paperback
A classic. Can read without having read other Le Carre.
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (George Smiley Series #3)
Spooky(ish), Weirdo, Gothic
Enjoyed this a lot and quickly read everything else by this author. Spooky vibes all around.
Bunny: A Novel by Mona Awad, Paperback
Another creepy one from Mona. Cult stuff. Loved it.
You've probably already seen the classic film. The book is a bit different, has a few darker things, did spook me out and then by the end gets very Stephen King-y (said with love) so I didn't end up scared by the finish.
