I love this book! My daughter purchased it for me, and I’m still working on it for her.
Mom, I Want to Hear Your Story: A Mother's Journal
Another guided family history book that is amazing to have to pass down to your family
Dad, I Want to Hear Your Story: A Father's Journal
Part where to stay, part why, and part about the writers who stayed there, I love this book!
Literary Trips: Following in the Footsteps of Fame
My favorite types of roadside stops!
Texas Curiosities: Quirky Characters & Oddities
As the title suggests, this book is part memoir, part writing instruction - both parts wonderful! King is funny, informative, and self-reflective throughout the book. I have this in hard copy, on Kindle, and on Audible, and I love them all.
On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft (Reissue)
A realistic look at America in 1960. Steinbeck paints a realistic portrait in words, talking to real people in every section of his travels. So well written, it always inspires me to get out there and explore.
Travels with Charley in Search of America
Fiction I love to read
This is a great series if you love reading about small town life with just a touch of magic.
Leafwood Falls (7 book series) Kindle Edition
A beautifully angsty, slow burn romance novel. This one made me laugh, cringe, and cry. I stayed up until 5am to finish it, because I just couldn’t put it down.
A Love Letter to Whiskey
Suspense, magical, emotional, and a tale of true sisterhood, this one was tough to put down. This was the first I’d read by Amanda East, but it won’t be the last.
The Secrets We Never Told by Amanda East
I was pulled in and immersed from the first chapter. This coming of age novel is gripping, heartbreaking and heart warming. Set in Alaska, you can feel the picture she paints vividly: of the landscape, the characters, pain, and love.
The Great Alone: A Novel
I love reading about how a community rebuilds after devastation. This often means Zombies, but there are no zombies here. Well written and engaging, if you like this genre as well, this is a must read (or listen)!
End Times Alaska Complete Omnibus: Survival
This was a beautiful read about two women who shared a friendship like sisterhood, reunited after decades apart.
The Starfish Sisters: A Novel: O'Neal, Barbara
This one sat on my shelf for years, before I picked it up and devoured it in one Saturday. I only question why I didn’t pick it up sooner.
Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
I watched the show on Netflix first, and then read the book. Loved them both, but the adage holds true: the book is better. 😄
Firefly Lane: A Novel - Kristin Hannah
Book & Kindle accessories
I read consistently. Sometimes it’s a paperback or audible, and usually it’s my Kindle. These are items I use consistently on all of those.
This is my new favorite case. Prop it up with the stand, or slide your hand into the strap to securely hold your Kindle however you prefer.
