I know the book an most books say to use weight 4 or smaller an 4.5 or smaller hook.  But I like to use weight 6 or 7 and a hook 5.5 (or 6.5 for blanket) or 10 and the product comes out way bigger

This worested weight arylic yarn is pretty.  It's good for blankets although it might a while so I prefer to use it for clothing

This is 100% polyester yarn.  I recommended making something that does not need to be washed that often or stretched.  It is not great for stuffed animals.  Baby hats scarfs are always good.  Reminder: Polyester does NOT stretch and DOES shrink.
