Breakfast
I love oatmeal on the trail, but have tried a few other options like these:
Backpacker's pantry has consistent quality and a few different flavors
Peanut Butter & Banana Oatmeal
If you want a heartier breakfast, this one of my favorites! Especially for trail breakfast burritos.
Sunrise Tofu Scramble
This is nice because it already has the milk mixed in, so just add water for a nice crunchy breakfast granola
Mountain Berry Granola
Lunch
This is a cold soak meal (no stove needed) and is perfect for lunch or a hot summer night. It has amazing texture and a surprising amount of protein!
Thai Carrot Slaw
High protein cold soak lunch or dinner option that is good on crackers, tortillas, or just plain!
Lazy Lentil Salad
Another cold soak salad for hot weather hiking or longer mile days when you don't want to cook
Fiesta Quinoa Salad
I was surprised how much I liked this salad and by how much protein there is per serving! New favorite trail lunch.
Cucumber Chaat Salad
Dinner
Is this the best backpacking meal ever made? I'd legit eat this off trail if it wasn't so expensive…
Best Vegan Pad Thai
This is a newer brand with smaller portion sizes. I like them for shorter overnight trips when I am not burning as many calories and am not as hungry.
Wild Zora Meals To Go
I always have TVP on hand to add into homemade meals or as an add in for pre-made meals that don't have as much protein as I want.
TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein)
Outdoor Herbivore has many great dinner options, but this is one of their best tasting.
Teriyaki Takeout
Chili Mac is a staple in my backpacking meal line up. If I don't get this one, I bring ingredients separately and combine.
Three Bean Chili Mac
I love any meal I can put into a tortilla, and this is great for burritos
Mexican Quinoa Bowl
Nomad Nutrition has one of the more extensive line ups for vegan backpacking meals
Nomad Nutrition Meals
Snacks
Granola bars, trail mixes, and other staple vegan trail snacks
The bars and the bites are both great trail snacks! I can find them at most markets, and they keep well in your pack.
Bobo's Oat Bars
I eat this for lunches and for snacks with crackers, carrots, or on a tortilla
Instant Hummus
Is this the best vegan jerky ever? It is at least the best I've tried! Plus, they have great flavor options.
Primal Spirit Vegan Jerky Sampler Pack - ALL 6 flavors
Having some nut butter is a must on the trail. I like the individual packets for a snack, but to reduce waste, getting a refillable container is more favorable.
Almond Butter
I have made variations of these types of snacks from scratch, but when I don't have time to make any, these are a good alternative.
Navitas Power Snacks
I love to bring these as a dessert, not just a snack!
Heather's Choice Packaroons
For longer treks or longer miles, having a full blown dessert to look forward to is a must for me and this one is a fan favorite. My backpacking partner and I will often split this between the two of us.
Mango Sticky Rice
Drinks
I like this to keep some tea in my nalgene during the day. They have both a cold soak and hot tea option.
SPORTea® Starter Kit
This is one of the few electrolye powder options that I actually like the taste of even if it isn't the healthiest
Propel Powder Variety Pack
This water filter is nice for solo trips or short overnight hikes. It isn't great for groups, but I like to have it with as one of my main water bottle options to fill up easily as I hike.
LifeStraw Peak Series Collapsible Squeeze 650 ml Bottle with Filter
