Finding the right gear for your next adventure can sometimes be overwhelming, so I figured I'd share some of my favorites to help you recreate responsibly while minimizing your impact in the outdoors

Please remember that the most sustainable thing you can do is use what you already have and you don't have to swap out everything single thing you own. Switching to a zero/low waste lifestyle can be intimidating. The number one thing to remember is that perfection is an unrealistic standard. It's best to start with small, mindful choices that add up over time. The first thing you want to do is assess the plastic in your life. From there, see what you can replace as things in your everyday life run out and take it room by room. I personally started with bathroom/toiletry items and once I found what worked for me, I was able to incorporate these items into my normal routine and move onto kitchen/laundry from there.

When you spend months at a time flying to different cities bouncing from hotel to hotel, being able to have the comforts of home at your fingertips is incredibly important. With this said, this list includes items I find essential to surviving on the road. I try to keep items in my kit plastic free as this minimizes waste created while also saving money in the long run.

Please note that these apps are not get rich quick schemes and are just a fun way to get a little boost in cash. I recommend picking one to two apps to focus on (I do weward and evidation) and spending a few minutes each day working towards rewards. In 2025 I was able to make an extra $300 via weward focusing on walking, games and surveys.
