We bought one of those generic bucket list posters two years ago and it collected dust. These are different — the dates are actually doable on a Tuesday, not just “go skydiving” nonsense.

Some nights we stare at the poster and nothing sounds right. That's when we pull from a card deck instead — it takes the decision fatigue completely off the table.

Started writing down what we did after each date and now it's turned into this little book we flip through when we need a laugh. Highly recommend keeping a record.

Half our scratched-off dates ended up being home stuff, and I refused to let “stay in” mean “scroll phones in the same room.” These kits gave us something to actually do together.

A bunch of our poster dates involved getting outside, and we were embarrassingly unprepared. Showed up to a stargazing date with zero blankets and a dead phone flashlight.

“Cook a new recipe together” was on our poster three different ways. The first time was a disaster because we had one cutting board and no matching spices. Fixed that real quick.

Scratch off number seven was “game night with no phones” and it was honestly the hardest one because we're both addicted to our screens. But once we started, we didn't stop for four hours.

Three of our scratch-offs involved leaving town overnight. Packing for a surprise trip when you have nothing ready is stressful — learned that one the hard way with a forgotten phone charger and no toothbrush.

None of these are the main event but they all made specific dates way better. The details matter more than I expected, and my partner noticed every single one.
