Listen… perimenopause has entered the chat and she’s unhinged. My sleep went from “I can function” to “why am I awake at 3 AM thinking about that one email I sent in 2014.” So I built a nighttime routine that helps me trick my body into believing we are calm, collected, and not currently fighting for our lives. This list is everything I use when I’m trying to sedate my nervous system like a Victorian woman with “the vapors.” Cooling pajamas because my internal thermostat is broken, a bath soak that convinces my muscles to stop clenching, my beloved Elemis body oil that makes me feel like a soft, moisturized goddess, plus the face cream and lip mask that make me look like I have my life together even when I absolutely do not. I also listen to calming audio because apparently my brain needs to be babysat to fall asleep now. If you’re dealing with night sweats, hormone chaos, or the kind of insomnia where you suddenly remember every embarrassing moment of your life, welcome. You’re safe here. This routine won’t fix your hormones, but it will help you sleep like someone who hasn’t Googled “is this normal??” three times today.
